Today’s Tips (17/07)
Not a lot to get excited about today. We have Justcallmepete due to run at Windsor and he has strong claims but the draw makes life difficult and the R4 has collapsed the price so for the time being I've left him unless we see a drift. We do however have a couple of other plays for today.
3:25 Newton Abbot - PYRAMID PLACE (11/8) - 2pt WIN
This horse was the only qualifier I would have had today for the CS. He looks to be a very worthy favourite, he's been well supported, gets his conditions and should be hard to beat providing that he jumps efficiently.
7:00 Wolverhampton - PIGEONTON (12/1) - 0.5pts EW
This is a bit of a random selection and it's almost certainly going to be boom or bust. However, on paper this isn't a great race and what intrigues me about this newcomer is that he's heading to the sales tomorrow. He was a cheap purchase so if I owned him I'd want a big run tonight to maximise his sale value tomorrow. Obviously there's a chance they might withdraw him from the sales tomorrow and that this is just a final roll of the dice but eitherway he's likely to be trying and the booking of Dawson together with the EW support over night, was enough to peak my interest.
