Time allowing, we are going to be posting a daily blog covering some key stats and trends for some of the day's runners in the UK and Ireland. Please read the stats carefully as not all of them will be positive!
Stat 1 - M. D. O'Callaghan is deadly in two year old sprint maidens in the spring. If we apply additional filters for the jockey and the prize money available, we obtain a win strike rate of 66.67% and a huge level stakes profit from a decent sample size. The horse of interest today is DRUNK IN LOVE (11/8) who runs in the 1:20 at the Curragh.
Stat 2 - Ger Lyons' record in 2yo maidens over 6 furlongs at the Curragh is decent enough (71 runs/11 wins/16 places). However, when we look to only target the runners ridden by Colin Keane, the record improves significantly to 27 runs/9 wins/4 places. As you would imagine with any 2yo, market support is also key with the majority of the winners being well found in the betting. The horse of interest today is TOUGH TALK (9/2) who runs in the 1:55 at the Curragh.
Stat 3 - Most of you will know all about System 46 by now and we have a couple of qualifiers today but the one that really stands out is trained by Willie Mullins. The reason his runner is the pick of the bunch is because System 46 qualifiers trained by Willie have resulted in a win strike rate of 71.43% so far in 2022 (sample size = 21). The horse of interest today is FIGHTER ALLEN (10/11) who runs in the 3:57 at Tramore.
