Unfortunately two of our main bets are now non-runners but the two horses below both go into their races with solid claims and hopefully can run well.
5:50 Chepstow - STAR OF VALOUR (4/1) - WIN - The card kicks off with class 5 handicap and I’ve had a little word for Colin’s horse here who is having his first start for the yard. He does have a question to answer at this trip and race fitness is taken on trust but his form when last seen would be good enough to win this and the booking of Tom is a plus. As far as the dangers are concerned, CHICA BELLA has come in for support and I can see why but I really don’t think this trip will suit her. Obviously if they go slow she’ll out sprint them in the finish but given the field size, it’s unlikely. The other horse with a shout is WILFY but he’s a very tricky customer.
7:50 Chepstow - STORMY NIGHT (12/1) - EW - This isn’t a great race and for me the favourite is just too short despite being the clear form choice. Our horse may end up getting a soft lead and with the yard in good form and with the visor fitted, I think he may well just go out and make all.
Good luck 🦆
