TRACKER HORSES - 28/10/22

We have also provided our reviews for a couple of our tracker horses today. The post was sent out to members last night as part of our Road To Cheltenham package.

1:45 Wetherby - 3m bet365 Novices' Chase (GBB Race) (Class 3) (4yo+)

We have one Cheltenham Shortlist horse in this contest.

GELINO BELLO – ‘Franked the form of Blazing Khal when winning at Aintree on his last start. I am not sure he will be able to match the Irish in the big races but should have no problem winning against the Brits early in the season.’

This horse makes his much-anticipated debut over fences tomorrow and I think it is safe to say that Paul has been looking forward to this day for quite some time. The horse is obviously well in on Official Ratings and this race has tended to be somewhat of a formality for favourites in the past. The track, trip, and going, all look to be perfect and there shouldn’t be any excuses for the horse tomorrow. Anything short of a comfortable win would probably be viewed as a major disappointment.

Advised Bet: GELINO BELLO (1/2) – WIN

Bet Confidence: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

3:40 Uttoxeter - 2m Kalahari King Novices' Limited Handicap Chase (GBB Race) (Class 3) (4yo+)

No Cheltenham Shortlist horses in this contest, but we do have one basic tracker horse.

BARRICHELLO (5/1) – This horse was progressive over hurdles last season and was placed expertly by Donald up until April, when he probably made the wrong call by picking Ayr over Aintree. Despite winning four races over hurdles, I’ve always had this horse earmarked as a Chaser in the making and I think Donald has too because he’s been schooling him over fences for nearly 12 months now! Tomorrow’s race is competitive, but he won it with a similar type last year (Minella Drama) and if I am right about this horse’s propensity for Chasing, then I think the mark of 134 could massively underestimate him.

Advised Bet: BARRICHELLO (5/1) - WIN

Bet Confidence: ⭐️⭐️⭐️

4:35 Wetherby - 2m Bet365 Novices' Hurdle (GBB Race) (Class 3) (4yo+)

No Cheltenham Shortlist horses in here but we do have a basic tracker horse who is of major interest.

UKANTANGO (11/8) – This gelding is trained by Olly Murphy and is current undefeated in his career under rules have won a Bumper and a Novice Hurdle last season. As a result of his Novice win, he will carry a penalty tomorrow which is never easy, but this horse almost certainly has a bit of class. I understand that Olly’s intention is to bounce him from this race into the Supreme Novice Trial at Cheltenham next month. That being the case, we can firstly assume that he’s held in high regard and secondly, that he will almost certainly be trying to win as he won’t have to carry a penalty in Graded company next time. Olly has gone down this route before with both WASHINGTON and ITCHY FEET, who won on their seasonal reappearances before placing in the Trial. I fully expect UKANTANGO to continue that tradition.

Advised Bet: UKANTANGO (11/8) - WIN

Bet Confidence: Bet Confidence: ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Note: Bet Confidence will follow the same scale as our Star Ratings on the CS.

1-2 Star = Small Stake

3-4 Star = Medium Stake

5 Star = Max Stake
