1:00 Lingfield - KOEMAN (6/1) - 0.5pts EW - This horse has become very well handicapped on old form and we think Mick has been playing with him slightly. To date his four runs over this kind of trip in AW handicaps have yielded some very positive speed figures and with George Bass taking over in the saddle, he should have every chance especially if he ends up racing prominently. At an even bigger price, a chance can be given to the old boy BATTLE OF MARATHON who is returning to his favourite course and distance on the back of what was almost certainly a return to form the last day. As with KOEMAN, a more experienced jockey takes over in the saddle and if they go a good early gallop he could play a major part in the finish and is probably worth a small ew saver.
