Today's Quackingtips from Doncaster (25/06)
We have a 7 race card at Donny today which includes some decent handicaps and some horses of interest. The last week has been very frustrating with nearly all of our blog tips placing rather than winning, but I am sure our luck is about to turn.
1:40 Doncaster - MARSABIT (5/4) - Win - This horse was largely beaten by the ground last time out at Goodwood. He returns to a sound surface today and takes a drop in class, both of which are major positives. He gets the assistance of William in the saddle once again and although he is a short price, I fully expect him to get the job done. If anyone wants to go hunting for some potential EW value, then I know that WILD HOPE is fancied to run well but ultimately, I think everything will be fighting out for a place if MARSABIT runs to form.
4:00 Doncaster - MRS FITZHERBERT (11/2) - EW - This filly has a truly stunning pedigree being a Kingman out of a Dynaformer mare. That bloodline is one which has been well tested and on the whole, the progeny have wanted middle distances and good ground both of which MRS FITZHERBERT is going to get today. Whilst it is a competitive contest and FREE WIND certainly isn't going to be easy to beat, I do think that our filly offers a bit of EW value and you can also look at playing the Combination Forecasts to enhance profits and cover the bases.
4:35 Doncaster - MARIEGOLD (8/1) - EW - To date this horse is yet to bring her homework to the track. She gallops with all of Charlie's best horses and always holds her own but she is also a filly with a bit of an attitude which was evident last time out when she was virtually unrideable at Kempton. All the vibes from the yard are strong today though and they are extremely hopeful of an improved performance on handicap debut. It won't be an easy task to win with MONBAHER and FLEURMAN in opposition but hopefully she can run well.
